    it means that the mii that is trying to set up the two miis doesnt know the mii you want to set up with another mii. sorry if my explanation is bad. i hope it helps!

    In order to set up a couple, All of the miis need to know each other. The set-upper must know the person you're trying to select, and the mii you can't change has to know them as well.
