    The reason he was taken out was because of the massive clear-out of clones after Melee. The only one to return in fact was Falco, albeit with a slightly new moveset. In Smash 4 a few were brought back, such as Doc and Roy. However, there were already six Pokèmon by then and Pichu just wasn't nearly popular enough to be seen as having a viable comeback. And unlike Corrin, Pichu wasn't a billboard.

    Whenever I see somebody act like a game sucks because someone they like isn't playable, I just roll my eyes in disgust. A single character should never, I repeat, NEVER be the deciding factor of a game's quality.

    Wait for Smash 5. And even then, don't be surprised if another Pokémon like Zoroark, Deoxys or an inevitable 7th generation Pokémon over Pichu.

    To be honest,I think all charactes deserve to return.It's better than adding a bunch of cr@ppy new characters,*coughGreninjacough*.Pichu was just one of my favorites,and I'm alwayys a bigger fan of underrated characeters compared to overrated.

    But Greninja is cool. He's a ninja frog who can appear out of nowhere and slice you up with ninja weapons made of compressed water. Plus, he has a unique moveset while Pichu, I hate to break it to you, is just a weaker Pikachu.

    In Melee, Pichu's Skull Bash can charge up longer and do more damage than Pikachu's: up to 39% and his side smash attack has more launch power, and can even 1 hit KO on small stages if charged up all the way.

    I agree. The fact that they didn't include a smaller Pikachu that gets damaged by its own electrical attacks is something that I'll never understand.
