Maybe Shrek, Goku and more none videogames characters ended on the top positions on US leaving Bayonetta as the top because those characters are rejected immediately because they aren't videogame. Sherk is technically a videogame character however he is owned by dream works and not relizable also said character origins have to be witb video games or nintendo to join smash(note just because they are technically a video game character dose not mean they orginate with video games) sammy do you not understand the differences between orgins and technical truth?

I am a bit confused by the "before you try it bayonetta..." comment her orgins are with videogames, sega, and platinum, nintendo work directly on the bayonetta 1 remake for the wii u and bayonetta 2. It only makes sense she would be added and I only voted for her like 5 times lol. She also has an anime out as well its very very good. The only character in the game who did not originate in a video

Game would be R.O.B. this why the rule actually is to be in smash the character's orgin must be with video games or ninintendo due to R.O.B. (or robot in japan). Another rule many people do not know is that any third party character is limit one per franchise and only the main character of said franchise may be added (this is why tails is not in and there is no ken skin for ryu)

Technically videogame character because it originate out of videogames yes, but that simple fact is what keeps him away from being considered a videogame character, like Miku and all the none originated in videogames can't be considered videogame characters because they're originated somewhere else.
