What's with all the hate on Cloud and Corrin?

I've seen a lot of hate on these characters but don't know why. If you haters could please elaborate why that'd be great.

    Some people are just jealous because those people that are crazy are jealous because there great DLC characters but, they are OP so, the crazy people just want them.

    I honestly think Cloud is a GREAT character. Corrin, I don't really care about. Maybe people are hating on Corrin because he's ANOTHER Fire Emblem character.

    People act really stupid and inconsiderate most of the time and don't learn accept the things that they have gotten instead you wanna go and ruin somebodyelse's fun because they lost to an FG opponent that reason is so obvious now. People hate the DLC fighters but yet they say "Super Smash Bros. for 3DS/Wii U is the best game ever".

    I feel like we needed another FE character. And Cloud should be in it because we have Final Fantasy for SNES, and he is an iconic FF character. So why they like to just hate the two characters.

    i think its because people dont know these characters well. people have to play final fantasy 7 to understand and appreciate cloud and same would go for corrin to play fire emblem.

    Because people need to complain about something... Cloud is my favorite character in this game and he is from my favorite Final Fantasy. Cloud is a gaming icon, and his spot was well deserved. Corrin was a good pick because Fire Emblem has been more popular now then it ever has been in a long time. But the haters would disagree and call these two ''Anime Trash''. Don't get me started on Bayo Hate.

    Obviously Corrin because s/he is pretty much the sixth fire emblem character. Sakurai even thought that it was too many but I guess someone at Nintendo convinced him otherwise.

    Could because he pretty much came out of left field. Also, during the ballot, there were Black Mage supporters (another protagonist from Final Fantasy). When Cloud was announced, most of those people seriously started a petition to replace Cloud with black mage. I saw it for myself.
