I've got so much Smash money on the Wii U version; I have, like, almost 180,000 coins. Unfortunately, I can't say the same for my 3DS version. I have, like, only about 1,200 there.

    In the Wii U Version i currently have over 300,000 gold just from doing coin battles, 30 minute or 30 stock battles, 20 min 8-Player, and etc.
