Future Third Party Characters?

Which third party characters would you like to see in a future Smash game? I know that the veterans (including Snake) and Rayman are usually popular choices, and Geno will probably gain some momentum thanks to Sakurai's comments about him, but I'm not sure who else has a lot of support.

    Seems like there's no clear favourite so far. Not sure if Rare owned characters (Banjo-Kazooie, Conker, Battletoads, etc.) qualify, unfortunately, seeing as they're owned by Microsoft; we got Minecraft on Wii U, but Microsoft made it clear when they bought the IP that it was going to stay multi-platform. Still, I suppose it's possible. Don't think Hatsune Miku counts, seeing as she isn't a game

    Yes and no being that she is owned by sega she would be more along the lines if r.o.b. also she was almost in the game. The 3 big companies involved in makeing this game other then nintendo are namci, capcom and sega. Each company was susposed to have 2 reps. Capcom is megaman and ryu. Namco was supose to be pac man and hitachi, hitachi was to glitchy for the 3ds verson and was cut

    (Much like Ice climbers) this added a new slot and when square offered cloud Sakurai jumped at the opertunit. I digress sega original two representative were supose to be sonic and hatsune miku (due to being there two biggest sellers) but when bayonetta won the ballot sega's representative became bayonetta and sonic leaving yet another slot open that is wheb corrin was suggested.     The companies were never intended to have two characters; it just worked out that 2/3 did. Heihachi wasn't cut because of 3DS issues; he was cut because the development team (or just Sakurai) had difficulty envisioning how he could work in Smash (as stated in his weekly column in the Japanese magazine Famitsu), and they briefly considered him in place of Pac-Man.

    Nowhere has it ever said that Miku was even considered; if Sakurai said something like that, it would be very well documented in this day and age, but the only Sega characters stated to be considered were Sonic and Bayonetta, both due to extreme popularity among fans.

    I am not getting my informmation from what sakurai said but information based on something sega claimed to want to put miku in based on game sales I did not know that was the reason hitachi was cut so thank you for that information I just know sega pitched the idea of miku for whatever reason no idea if Sakurai considered it or not either your welcome to look this up if you don't belive me

    @Daemon: I did find the lack of Street Fighter content kind of weird. Not as odd as Final Fantasy getting next to nothing, but you'd think they could include more than two themes, or Mii fighter costumes, or trophies for the Street Fighter 2 cast (seeing as it seems like they could just use the Street Fighter 4 models).
