Pokémon Sun and Moon will have their mascot Legendaries be based off, you guessed it, the sun and the moon. They'll be Fire/Fairy and Rock/Dark type, respectively, and will each have two signature moves: Solar Flare, a 150-power special Fire move with 75% accuracy and a 50% chance to inflict Burn, and Blinding Ray, an 80-power special Fairy move with perfect accuracy; Meteor Crash, a multi-hit

physical Rock move that can hit up to 6 times with 50 power each, but accuracy is calculated with each hit and each hit's accuracy is only 70%. (The move ends if one hit misses;) and Lunar Eclipse, a Protect clone that will increase Defense and Special Defense during the turn of invulnerability. Their stat distributions should be 91/117/79/156/102/135 and 91/156/117/135/102/79, respectively.

But that ruins the chance for a Dark/Fairy Pokemon The Moon legendary has to be a Dark/Fairy spirit

but okay that's true but I couldn't think of a better secondary type for the sun legendary and I don't want both of them to be Fairy types damn it, why wasn't Mega Absol a Dark/Fairy type

well, basically because I wanted the sun legendary and moon legendary to each have one type that hits the other super-effectively and resists the type it hits; if you don't know what I mean by that, in that example Rock > Fire and Fairy > Dark and also because I don't want them to be Xerneas and Yveltal 2.0

Because we have intense sunlight (which, to this day, I believe to be summoning a tiny star extremely close to earth which is why it can happen at night.) we should get a new weather; Full Moon: Increases the power of Dark type attacks. Additional effects: Moonlight heals more health. Moonblast does more damage.
