My Nintendo Direct Thoughts

It was ok. Star Fox Zero wasn't anything earth shattering but still decent. All RPGs got great attention but Paper Mario: Color Splash just looks like Sticker Star 2. Kirby Planet Robobot looks like a good game and finally got a new series of amiibo. With more info on Metroid Prime: FF it's not bad. We're basically seeing another point of veiw in the Metroid games.

    a story relating to all PM and M&L games. But they could of at least have more characters. It had like 3 Yoshis, no paper. There were Lakitus, but not in paper. Certain enemies were either only paper or 3d. I liked seeing both versions of all.

    Yeah in that occasion you're right... but it would be disappointing if this new paper Mario doesn't have any new characters.I was talking about the Mario franchise as a whole tho, I don't need to see these characters in the main series, but I don't want them to "Pooof*"(*Srsly admins?) out of existence with no explaination at the same time! Some cameos/refs won't harm at all...right?

    Cameos & references was another fun thing about the Mario RPGs. Sticker Star had none at all. Paper Jam does acknowledge the generic Mario stuff in terms of referring. So not much in cameos but tons of references.

    Ironic how you mention that Mario theory as I just watched Matpat of GameTheory talk with Miyamoto & Bill about Star Fox Zero. But I do think that MatPat was just poking fun. Obviously Mario cares for Luigi. All Mario, Luigi Mansion, Yoshi Island are all canon in a way. It's hard to put certain games in order but they connect as a big story probably more harder than the Zelda Timeline.

    i had hoped they had info on the new pokemon games. that "pokemon direct" WAS only 6 minutes long after all... atleast they revealed super nintendo VC for the super 3DS(new nintendo 3DS sounds kinda lame lol) so im hyped for that

    I like the idea of SNES games on New 3DS, but it's only games already on Wii U VC. They should of added others as not on yet as well.

    true, but i like the concept of being able to play super metroid on the go without a modded system or a phone with a emulator of a SNES. i dont even have a phone right now, actually..

    I'm not into any Nintendo RPGs but Mario and it's sad that Nintendo still goes with what Mr. Iwata said rather instead of listening to the fans. I understand it's to give him respect as a passing president, but many didn't want another Paper Mario like Sticker Star. We wanted it more like the Thousand Year Door.

    I'll say it again. If Nintendo is make their Paper Mario fans happy, but also follow what Iwata wanted for the franchise, mix the two together. Sticker Star wasn't great, but on it's own it was ok. The more paper like art style and music was good as well as little gameplay. Now mix that with TTYD's gameplay, strong developed and diverce characters and well written story with as many little...

    references here & there than we may have a Paper Mario that both Iwata & the fans wanted. Besides when Iwata passed away, he passed away while hearing us fans just be mad without knowing he was not healthy.

    Heh I just mentioned that theory cause I always see people saying"UGHHH MARIO IS EVIL AND H8S LUIGI! ITS TRUE CAUSE MATPAT SAYS SO!" Im sick of it... Of course Mario loves Luigi, but as a brother he also has a small rivarly with him so they obviously pick on eachother from time to time :P and honestly Luigi's mansion,(ESPECIALLY) M&L series etc. easily DESTROYS this theory.

    I loveMat Pats work,Sometimes I agree with him!(Bowser one was something I always believed in way before he posted it!) I also love the way he makes these franchises more interesting/Darker, but most of his fans are "too loyal"...Sure I also sometimes ref to the theories for fun, but Deep down I know that they are just a theory...(Now people think that Ness and Sans are the same being...wat?)

    Yeah funny. Some theories like how much a video game currency or any math & science related are good ones. But Mario being a jerk is really wrong. Hitting Yoshi? He's right that Yoshis took him as family but in the SMW instructions booklet is an image of Mario pointing telling Yoshi when to eat.

    I'm a huge Yoshi fan and never consider Yoshi a pet. Plus Yoshi Island answers a whole lot of questions when you mix them with the Mario RPGs
