What's wrong with Lucina, Dr Mario, and Dark Pit

Because their clones? Wolf was also a clone but everyone wants him back. Toon Link is a clone and everyone likes him. Lucina, Dr Mario, and Dark pit are really good fighters.

    To be fair, Wolf is far less of a clone than those three. Only his specials and Final Smash are similar to Fox and Falco. I don't hate Lucina, Dr. Mario, and Dark Pit, but I do think the Wolf comparison isn't a good one. And don't say EVERYONE likes Toon Link. I thought they should've added a new Zelda character instead of bring back the semi-clone.

    I don't think the hate is warranted, but the comparison you're making here isn't very sound. Wolf is hardly a clone. Go compare him to Fox and look beyond the Special Moves, then tell me what other similarities they really have? You're not finding much, I promise. And Toon Link gets off decently from the fact that his attributes are wildly different from Link's, like speed, weight, reach, etc.

    I think Dr.Mario is fine. He was already in Melee, & he's more unique now. He's more of a mix between Mario & Luigi. But in all honestly, Dark Pit is a stupid palette swap.

    In truth I love dr. Mario. Lucina is very much Marth but that makes sense same with dark pit...but in street fighter no one is mad at ken for being a ryu clone. By the way this game needs more ken

    Dark Pit is one of my favorite characters I wish he was more unique like having the Ore Club or another weapon from Kid Icraus Uprising but he is know stronger than Pit because of the recent patch

    To people who hate clones, Lucina,Dark Pit,and Dr.Mario are seen as wasted slots. Sure they are,but for Dark Pit & Lucina? Dark Pit's not just some disguise Pit puts on. Lucina's not a genderswap of Marth I wish more people would look at their role in their series and see these are actual characters with personalities. Dark Pit's funny in KI: Uprising. And Lucina plays quite a big role in FE:A!

    They could keep the Clones, but simply have them as additional skins within a character, that way you can play with Tipper Marth OR Even Lucina. Toon Link doesn't use his legs to attack, has different custom specials than Link, and anyone who thinks Wolf is a Clone should press the A button when fighting for once.

    To me, that's why I think Sakurai added Dark Pit and Lucina. Well, Dark Pit is literally a clone,sure. And in FE:A Lucina disguises herself as Marth (that would explain her moveset). But Sakurai saw them as the respectable characters from their game first! And thus,they were added.

    Even if they're clones, I think that the more playable characters a game has, the better. I actually play as Dr. Mario quite a lot.

    I love Dark Pit & Lucina, but Dr. Mario needs to be cut from the next Smash. To be honest I don't like him that much.

    1: Wolf is classified by the community as a semi-clone, and he's barely even that as he shares no normals and only 2 specials with his source character. The clones you mention share almost an entire moveset with their sources (Lucina and Dark Pit are EXACT copies of their sources aside from slightly different numbers). DO YOUR RESEARCH!

    Toon Link's physics are drastically different from Link's. There's a lot of things he can do that Link can't due to speed and move differences differences. And it's not like TL had any potential to be different. Lucina could have used Lances like she does in Awakening, Dark Pit could have used his staff, and I'm pretty sure Roy might have some other options besides being Fire Marth.
