    首位浦和、2位FC東京と勝ち点差1、4位G大阪と勝ち点差3の3位で迎えた1stステージ11節。優勝戦線生き残りの為に絶対に落とせない一戦。ミキッチに変わって、清水。ドウグラスに変わって、野津田が先発に名を連ねた。

    開始わずか1分。柏のクロスに柴崎が合わせる。クロスバーに嫌われるも、得点の匂いを漂わせる。10分はG大阪。今野の鋭い縦パスから宇佐美がミドルシュートを放つ。しかしこれは枠の外。その後は広島ペース。16分に野津田、17分には清水がシュート。43分には柏のクロスから青山がボレーを放つも、東口の好セーブに阻まれる。前半はスコアレスで終了した。

    後半は開始早々の2分。宇佐美がドリブルで引き付けて大森へラストパス。しかし、上手くミートする事が出来ず大きく枠を越えていった。すると、60分。FKを与えてしまうと、遠藤がクロス。岩下が折り返す。清水がクリアミス。これにリンスがあわせてガンバが先制。

    75分には藤春がシュート。これはポストに救われる。その後は広島が反撃。89分に塩谷がロングシュート。しかし、これは東口がファインセーブ。後半アディショナルタイム、柏、水本と繋いで、ドウグラスがオーバーヘッド。しかし、GK正面。このまま試合終了。広島は4位に転落。優勝争いから一歩遠ざかった。
