  • so in pheonix mode everyone in your team has to die in one turn to lose? sounds easy.

    Yeahs1
  • Phoenix Mode seems a bit overkill.

  • Really, weapon use is removed? That's what stressed budgeting and money conservation.

  • They.....Removing the Weapon-Use-Limits...? Omg.A Dream come true ;_;

  • That's a very mixed bag. Hopefully we're still getting a Classic Mode, but did we really need Phoenix Mode? And I hope weapon uses comes back for the Nohr arc. They seem to be sucking the challenge out of this game and while that's OK to a point, it shouldn't come out of the core mechanics of FE that make it so great.

  • Aw, what? No weapon limits? That's so easy! Who wants that? *pouts* Don't even get me STARTED on Phoenix mode...

  • Weapons breaking was always irritating and money wasting in my current Awakening progress (especially if said weapons are some of my strongest setups for my strongest units and medics)

  • YES! And I'm also glad joining Noir isn't a forced classic mode. I was kind of worried about that. And now I don't have to worry about weapon limits. All this news sounds good to me. So hyped for the game! coming out in 2016...

  • OBJECTION! In the trailers, you see a box behind weapons colored green and red. My guess would be when you use a weapon, the box gets a bit more red. It breaks when the box is fully red.

  • Hold the phone! Weapon uses removed!? As a bit of a FE veteran, this is surprising!

  • @Conor it's entirely possible that that refers to the weapon triangle, or how each weapon fares against the other. In the older games, advantages were shown by a green arrow, disadvantages by a red arrow.

  • WEAPON USE LIMITS WERE PART OF THE SERIES. That removes all challenges of managing equipment for each character

    Yeahs0
  • @Peter But the arrows are in the game as seen in the trailers. In still photos realeased when you look at the characters inventory the red/green box is still there. If you want to see it paause the first trailer at the part when the girl (Kazahana) attacks the archer and look behind the weapon icon. P.S on an unrelated note, swords apperently have an advantage over bows for some reason.

  • Phoenix mode = Super Casual mode

    Yeahs1
  • Pheonix mode just sounds so incredibly stupid. As if Casual didn't make the game easy enough... I like the idea of weapon durability getting removed. Shopping for characters always felt like more of a waste of time then an actual important strategic money-spending desision to me.

    Yeahs0
  • The weapon use limit removal is a bit... iffy. Certainly not going to have too much importance on shops besides expendables and maybe tweaking or crafting equipment. Phoenix Mode sounds like a good midground between Casual & Classic. It's like everyone's popping a Phoenix Down, hopefully for one use per game though. Speaking of which, Classic better return.

  • It's too bad this one isn't out in America this year. I'll probably end up spoiling Hoshido route for myself before release. =( 9 save slots makes sense I guess. I always want as many save slots as possible.

    Yeahs0
  • I would've preferred a repair system like the one in Geneology instead. Maybe weapons could get weaker with every repair so while you don't need to spend too much you'll still have to fork over some cash for equipment later on.
