    Took me a bit of time to git gud enough to even stand a chance against my brother and his friend back in Melee. Brawl, he still dominated me. Smash 4, the playing field's become quite leveled. So it took about 13 years for me. You likely won't take as long to get used to the game as I did.

    Practice for a certain amount of time daily with a character you're comfortable with and enjoy. Then you will improve. Don't forget to also look at guides on your characters.
