@Colton: Yes, you can turn off motion control. When you get to the weapon select screen, press (+) for the options. But you should give motion control a chance, it doesn't take long to get used to it and it works very well. To everyone asking if it can be played on the gamepad without a TV, sorry but the answer is no. You need a TV, and the gamepad screen is needed for the map.

@Tom There should be a pirate ship map on Splatoon! ^^ I think it would be two pirate ships across from eachother and the way to get across to the other ship is by walking plank to plank. And there should be cannons spread around each ship the shoot bombs of ink that are your teams color! ^^
