The Fit Meter's altitude data from yesterday's motorcycle trip over the mountains to meet up with Tom Brier et al. With my house at about 4500 ft, the mountains nearly 9000 ft, then Sutter Creek under 1000 ft, there's a lot of high positive & negative numbers! I hit rain storms, a snowstorm and an ice pellet storm during the trip over. Cold night!!

  • Well, it was on my motorcycle, so it doesn't count.

  • I know. I was looking at the top of the graph where you were altitude-wise!

  • Not just top, but see the bottom too -- over 7000 ft difference. Our house is at almost a mile above sea level, so the "zero" on our graph is actually about 4700 ft. Really feels like going somewhere when I make that trip over into central California, as the changes in altitude also mean vast changes in temperature and weather. Can go from snow on the side of the road to sweltering summer weather!
