    well probably not bc the pegesus boots only last for a short amount of time. But Mario can. Don't believe me, check out Game Theory on youtube (keyword mario faster than sonic.)

    Yeah that's true Poob. And Link can only run in straight lines with the boots which could eventually cause a problem.

    In the four swords series Link could change directions in mid-run with the Pegasus boots or even run on air. Also, the Pegasus boots do NOT only last for a short time (that's the Pegasus seeds). Sonic's speed has been stated to be around the speed of sound, Link would need a warp song/item to beat him in a race. Don't believe everything GameTheory tells you, they often overlook crucial evidence.

    @Robert: If we're going that route, throw in the pegasus seeds of the Oracle games and the piece of power from Link's Awakening. All of those increase his speed. I still don't think he's gonna hit mach 1 though.
