Actually Mosh-ling, this is related on how I'm having trouble linking my 2nd NNID to my new WiiU console, which I still am! Aika saying that she lost her wallet with the 'Mario Kart 8' 2nd DLC pack shown on the left is suppose to represent me loosing the $10 on my 2nd NNID's eshop balance when the WiiUs were exchanged, meaning I won't be able to get the DLC pack now!

How much do you have on your eShop account on your 3DS, J.A.C? If you link your NNID on your 3DS to your Wii U, then you can use your money on there to pay for the DLC for Aika to use. My main account buys all the stuff from the eShop, and anything downloaded can be used on either account. (Save datas are still independent.)
