Yup... Luckily Frollo was sent to an insane asylum for singing to his fireplace.

I felt it added to Frollo's character. It put more emphasis on him than anything else.

Hm...never thought of it that way. I think the song shows that Frollo is someone who thinks himself perfect, and ultimately blames others for his own folly. The song seems to start off as a prayer...but by the end, it is anything but.
