Today marks the (about) three week time period where Mercury's retrograde happens. During this time, you may loose things more often, have more computer failures/problems, and have problems communicating. This may be the reason why so many people are getting banned. I dunno, this is just some astrology stuffs, but that's what I think is causing this :P
