    after mario party 9 came out it was not as good you were all together theres mini stars the dice only goes to 6 all the items are just dice most of the mini games are motion controled and then i tought mabye they eould fix it in mario party 10 but they didn't but i still like mario party 10 just not as much

    Mario Party 1 actually had a plot to it. Every other game had more of a theme than an actual plot. All of your stars and coins were kept in cups (which resembled chalices). With the coins you earned from the boards, you could buy different cups, such as a casino cup where you'd gamble to either double the coins you collected from that board or lose half of them, and a bank cup where you earned

    an interest of around 10% of what you collected. They also had items from a shop that was OUTSIDE of the boards themselves, consisting of new game boards and bonus blocks that awarded 1 to 10 coins based on what you rolled. I liked MP1 because of all this. MP2 removed the plot aspect and the out-of-board shop for costumes and in-board shops, as well as allowed you to carry 2 items ar once.

    MP3 upped it to 3 items at once, and had the most entertaining mini-games of them all. MP3 is my favorite. MP4's mini-mega system was flawed, in that practically every space was a mini-mega space, causing your 3-slot item inventory to fill up quickly, preventing you from using any other item. Even worse was that you couldn't just throw away an item either, so you HAD to use one of the mushrooms to

    free up item space, and if you were forced to use a mega, you'd miss events on the board. To me, MP4 launched the decline of the MP series, until MP8. MP8 redeemed it a little bit, but then starting with MP9, the series' main developer Hudson was no longer involved.     being made up of a start-to-end format isn't as fun. MP10 redeems it a little with playing as Bowser, but that's it. And I've never played the handheld MP's. Sorry for the ridiculously long post, but I couldn't fit everything I wanted to say in just one comment box.
