I guess I can explain the dislike towards certain popular topics from what I've seen... It's like standing out in the sun. For a while, you can deal with it just fine. But when you bask in it for too long and don't grow accustomed to it, you get a bad sunburn and eventually skin cancer. No one wants skin cancer.

    Overexposure to a topic without getting to know it first (added with some vocal minority fans) leads to semi-automatic dislike for the topic. Saying you like said topic is great, but shoving it down others' throats to be 'different' is SPREADING THE SKIN CANCER SO STAHP IT
