I don't see the reason why Nintendo can't make a sequel to Super Mario Sunshine. The Delfino stage in Smash 4 shows that they have no regrets, and a lot of people have praised the game quite a bit lately. The only contradiction I can think of is that Nintendo doesn't make Mario sequels as much as they make new ones, but with games like New Super Mario Bros. 2 around, I don't see why not.

    I was going to add mention to SMG2 as well as Mario 3D World and New Mario U, but this rant had to take up 250 characters or whatever the limit is.
