My top 5 DLC characters are Shrek, Donkey, Boog, Elliot and Clifford. Why aren't they announced yet?!

Clifford can be in because he used be with Hudson Soft and he is owned by Konami. It's very unlikely we'll get another character for Konami since Snake is still cut from Smash Bros. Solid Snake should return(very unlikely) and we can get Clifford to join alongside him. We would have two Konami characters altogether are Clifford and Solid Snake.

I'm hoping Sakurai gonna add our two new SEGA representatives, Littlefoot and Balto to join the battle alongside the Returning fighter, Sonic. Sonic Team did develop The Land Before Time and Balto. Hopefully we can get to see our two retro SEGA reps for DLC.
