  Actually those aren't actually Zingers, in DKC 3 and DKL III Rare actually created a new Bee/Hornet-like enemy which are called Buzzes to replace them, I guess they wanted to have the enemies match the mix of Northern Hemisphere, Mutant-like and (especially in the Bee enemy's case) mechanical enemies that all mix to form DKC 3's and DKL III's theme, anyway the character parade in DKC 3 is where I

  got this information for their name as well as the manual for DKC 3 that I found as a pdf. file online, they call the enemy a Buzz, not trying to call you out rudely to specificly say your wrong, it's just a small correction, but hey a lot of people make the mistake of thinking these things are Zingers, so it's a common mistake not just made by you but plenty of others, I will say that I think

  the mechanical Bee/Hornet enemy in Frantic Factory in DK 64 is still called a Zinger, even though DKC 3 renamed the enemy type when it was mechanical, I really don't get why DK 64 didn't bother to even though the enemy type is mechanical in the Frantic Factory world in the game.
