i was trying to beat him without using coins and training the recommended pokèmon. i was almost close to beating him...but kept freezing and changing the mega black pokèmon (don't know name sorry), and end up losing :[

The next 2 Mega pokemon after this area are going to be just as difficult or more difficult if you don't want to use coins. If you want to do it without spending coins, you're just going to have to keep playing this stage until you get lucky with the combo.
