The Chibi-Robo! series is amazing! Even though most fans are probably not, I'm really excited for Chibi-Robo! Zip Lash! If your not on board, think of it this way: featuring the game as a platformer with amiibo will create great attention for people who haven't really looked at the series yet. Eventually, Chibi-Robo! will become more popular and we can see more of it to show Nintendo we care!
