Inking it right away gets you some easy points, but it's also important to expand your turf quickly and grab strategic locations before the enemy. Also, if you leave the area around your base uninked at the start, then anyone who gets splatted can ink it to quickly recharge his special weapon.

  • this is true stuff but what im saying is that people forget about it and it can cuz them to loose...

  • important: only the ground counts as "turf". don't cover the walls unless you're trying to hide or climb them.

  • coverage is key! my favorite thing to do is ink all the way to the corner. most people dont bother to cover up corners and i've gotten a couple wins from it i'm certain!

  • Too many people waste time perfectly inking their base only to get swarmed and overwhelmed by the bad guys. I wouldn't worry about your base at the start. (It's just going to get hit with an inkstrike in the first 30 seconds anyway.) Better to rush forward towards the enemy base camp.

  • I have a thing. when the game starts, just go right ahead, and the first time you die, ink your base before you go back

  • get those corners, too! every 0.1% inked helps! good tip. Also, if your teammate is inking a path, PLEASE, GO INK A DIFFERENT PLACE. I can't stand it when I rolling my roller and one or more of my team is right behind me, with an ink roller mind you, ink over what I've ALREADY laid down.

  • ya. It is frustrating when people attack and you have to do the base.

  • My team always goes straight to the other side instead of covering the base area.

  • I agree on inking the base. The bad guys cant even cover the small space around your spawn point (Not counting the inkstrike)

  • Tip: We know walls don't count as even a .1, but, if you do ink it and theres no border, then climb it, you don't know what will be up there, enemies, teammates, enemy ink, an empty space waiting for you to ink it, or a little hiding space!

  • Trust me i'm a lvl 20. Actually you really shouldn't waist your time dong that..... If it it necessary then yes, do it, but the main goal is to ink the other team's base so it realy wont matter if everyone is up fighting and a opposing team member sneakily gets past you...

  • um justin i'm also lvl 20. so i know what im talking about. the goal of the game is to cover the most ground in ink. sure you push first to get them back, but what good is it to cover their turf when you havent even covered yours? it leaves your team vulnerable to loosing if they manage to get around you to your base as well as push you back and cover all the work you just did.
