Greetings everyone! My name is Brave, one of the developers at Brave Rock Games. We are proud to release our next Visual Novel, “The Stonecutter”. This Visual Novel was made based on the feedback from Red Riding Hood. Television and Wii Remote support, various choices, multiple endings, and more were added thanks to our readers suggestions :). I would like to take a moment to respond to several questions some users may ask, so lets get started! 1) What is “The Stonecutter” about? This is a popular question by Westerners since this story originates in Asia. A poor stonecutter notice the lifestyles of those higher in the social hierarchy and wishes to become them. A spirit hears his plea and grants his wish. Despite having his wish granted, The Stonecutter is still unsatisfied and wishes for more. He dreams to become more powerful by embodying the forces of nature. The moral of the story is to be careful what you wish for, while having the view “the grass is always greener on the other side.” 2) Why was this application made and what is it? Well, we're glad you asked. We believe reading is fundamentally important to any child's growth. Some children dislike reading due to lack of visuals. We sought to bring visual story telling to these children. With the success of our first Visual Novel, Red Riding Hood, we were able to release our second story. 3) This isn't a game! Correct, our application is a digital story of The Stonecutter. If you prefer, there are a variety of games on the eShop :). 4) Will there be more Visual Novels? Yes, we are in the process of recruiting an artist for our third Visual Novel that has been voted for by fans. The top 3 fan suggestions are: 1) Alice in Wonderland 2) Hansel and Gretel 3) Goldilocks and The Three Bears. If Alice in Wonderland is chosen, we will implement a save feature since the story is longer. Feel free to vote in the comments below :). While we're on the topic of future Visual Novels, would you like to see more international less known stories on the Wii U? Thank you everyone for your support and best wishes, Brave Rock Games :-) Fan Art Gallery: braverockgames.wordpress.com

  • If you sometime put in eshop "Wizard of Oz" or any other title about Oz, please put the original book, not the filmic limited version. The only actual option to read Wizard of Oz (and other books of Oz) are the Marvel series adaptations with Skottie Young illustrations. It is a good idea you adapt the originals books too.

  • @Edi Thank you for your support and suggestion, we will definitely consider this. If you're interested we have a newer title on Nintendo's eShop, Alice in Wonderland. Our latest release features the original unmodified story by Lewis Carroll (released in 1865). :)
