So we see in the first few scrolls is the basics. First that there was a war between Octolings and Squidlings. That it's set off waaay in the future. And the basic body form of Inklings and what they're made of.

Ok so first we know that it's set off in the future. If you read all scrolls, you'll get the basic story. From what you read it's at least over 12,000 years from our present.

Two, the Squidlings/Inklings bodies were pictured similar to how the theory of human bodies grew. But we know that kid and adult Inklings/Squidlings can still go back in squid form. As for Octolings, there are rare/few that have humanoid bodies, meaning they're not as advanced as the Squidlings/Inklings.

Three, if you look at the picture of the group of Squidling/Inkling male that fought in battle. Then look at the Inkling crossing his arms. He's the crazy Captain. They look very similar. They have the same hat. So meaning he was probably the only or one of the few solders that survived from the war. AND also meaning that it's possible for Squidlings/Inklings to live a long time.

How do we know they live for a long time? Well look at the pictures with Judd in them. First we see him with all the Squidling/Inkling male solders as a very small cat, meaning he wasn't as advanced as he is now. Two the pic with the male. And three, the picture with his ears sticking out in the window of a sleeping chamber.

If you read the text of that pic, you see it's whoever telling Judd farewell and that he will sleep for about 10,000 years. So if that's true, then that means the Crazy Captain is over 10,000 years old.

Three, if you see the Squidling/Inkling and Octoling sitting together, that was the Crazy Captain and presumably the last boss of story mode. If you look at the boss, he has the same samurai hat as the Octoling in the picture. Meaning a) he can change from humanoid form to his octopus form, or b) he's a relative. But if he is the Octoling in the pic, it would explain why he went after the Captain.

Four, who are the Agent 1 and 2? Well Callie and Marie of course. For one its not hard to tell that Agent 1 looks like Callie and Agent 2 looks like Marie. But also playing during one of the last levels, you see Agent 1 say "Mari-I mean Agent 2", so that's an easy hint. Also meaning that Callie and Marie are related to the Crazy Captain.

So they have a lot of clues and easter eggs. A cute little easter egg you see is in the pic with 4 kids that were in a band, the last kid looks like a mini version of Spyke (the chill dude that sells you stuff).

I think you're wrong on one thing, and that's the age on Crazy Captain. Sunken Scroll 25 talks about how humans ignored the rising sea levels and yata yata and it's a guy with Judd, since it's talking about humans, I'm pretty sure that guy is a human who had the money to make a capsule to keep his precious kitty frozen for 10,000 years. While Scroll 15 is probably a more realistic art design.

If you look at the picture with all the Inkling soldiers though, you see a male Inkling with the same hat as the Captain, as well as a normal cat looking Judd next to him. The pictures were in the same time set and when you see a bigger version of Judd (meaning he's older) in the time capsule saying he will sleep for about 10,000 years. And if that Captain is the same old guy, he must be very old.

Remember what I said about that art? I know Judd and the captain are in there, but it's in a realistic artstyle. Plus it's not like the Sunken Scrolls are in complete chronological order.
