*looks up Roy gameplay* *see's that his moveset is different* *looks at lucina* You can't be serious. Why does Roy do 50% damage with his neutral b and why is it an instant kill? Who am I kidding. No one is going to get hit by that thing anyways. Unless if it's a FG player

  • Gustbellows.

  • @UltraMan21: Well, like you already said yourself, you'd have to be pretty daring or pretty stupid to get struck by that without attacking Roy first. That thing takes decades to fully charge.

  • Why are we complaining about a move that was introduced in Smash over fifteen years ago?

  • @Caleb I know, I'm just shocked that Sakurai would add something like that. @Mitchell because the move 15 years ago kills now at 0%

  • It's always been like that.

  • Well, Roy's recovery is absolute garbage. You can expect several easy meteor-smashes from ZSS and Rosalina players.

  • Marth vs Roy is horrendous. Marth destroys Roy in that matchup. But Roy might still be better, since his forward smash sweetspot is gigantic so it kills at 30%, where marth kills with his sweet spot

  • @UltraMan21: Power doesn't matter if your opponent can easily push you off the stage. Take Dr. Mario for example. He's clearly more powerful than Mario, but has a far worse recovery, leaving him helpless to a meteor-smash. I think Roy is a character for rougher players. Marth is more of a technical character.

  • But Roy has the sweetspot effect and it has as much power has Marths, only bigger. And he kills at 30%

  • He looks a lot faster than Ike. Speed-wise, he looks like the middle ground between Marth and Ike, with Ike's power and Marth's weight. I'm hyped to get him and main him though- He looks awesome.

  • He's faster then marth, and he should be. His range is short, and no, marth and Roy don't have the same amount of range. It's not close. When Sakurai said Roy is up close he really meant it. He doesn't even feel like marth

  • Also, Roy's sweetspot is probably stronger because it's more risky. He needs to really get up close to hit with it, and when you're not very heavy, that's dangerous. Makes sense that the payoff is amazing.

  • Actually his sweetspot is big

  • I think they both have the same amount of power on the sweet spots, even though I honestly thing marth should have the stronger one since his sweetspot doesn't cover most of the sword

  • Oh my god, Roy's so boss! ...Got the DLC yesterday afternoon.
