Tbh, I don't really get the hate for semi clones/clone characters. Hey, it's another character I can play as, that's good enough for me. And yes, this even includes Pichu.

    Sakurai has explained that they're there as EXTRA, not replacement of other characters. So getting rid of Lucina, Dr. Mario, and Dark Pit would just be taking extra content away, not making room for more.

    I wouldn't mind Young Link coming back. Although, that may cause problems, because Toon Link already takes care of the "faster and weaker Link" situation. He could get a moveset change, but considering the fact that Mewtwo, Lucas, and Roy didn't get a moveset change, if Young Link got brought back, he would still have the same moveset.

    Tbh... again, Vaati should of been added in Brawl. It would of been perfect timing, but now I'm not so sure. Same thing happened to Zoroark. People thought Zoroark was a shoe in for Smash 4, but then Gen 6 happened.

    As would I. To be completely honest, while I do like Roy, putting Roy over Leif for promotional purposes was a bit of a bad move on Sakurai's part. Thankfully, Sakurai seemed to learn from that, because he hasn't done that since.

    Eh, not really. I mean, at least Greninja had a game to work with that was out for almost half a year. Fire Emblem 6: Sword of Seals didn't get release in till four months after Melee's release.

    Well, most characters, both old and new, were announced because of something at the time, like King Dedede and Kirby Triple Deluxe's Japanese release date or Rosalina being announced a little after Super Mario 3D World's release. It's usually the timing.

    Yeah, but Dedede was in Brawl, so it was just convenient to announce him then. Rosalina was spot on.
