    Ah, the way this game works is that once the flute is attributed to one animal, that's the only one you can call again in the game. You can meet all 3 at least once but then depending on where you got your flute determines who's your companion for that save file. Hope this helps!

    Right, but if on another save file you buy the flute at the shop in Horon Village you get Moosh (the flying bear) and if you do the Subrosian dance (that dance where you get a boomerang in Subrosia) many times you'll get the flute for Dimitri (the swimming dinosaur) Once you get a flute by one of these 3 ways that's your companion.
