    Considering SML mostly had completely original enemies, that would mean creating brand new sprites for pretty much every enemy, among other things. I can understand why they might save that for sequels if Mario Maker does well, even though I'd really like it if it was in.

    They made sprites for things like the arrow signs and the chain chomps, and it doesn't seem like the enemy selection is THAT large. I'm sure the've had time to do it.

    New sprites for basically every enemy in Mario Maker except Goombas, Piranha Plants, Bullet Bills, and I guess Koopas, plus all the stage elements and powerups that weren't in SML. And then even more sprites for the different red/green koopas, etc. It adds up to more than you'd think.

    But They wouldn't have to make colored ones though, as the Game Boy was black and white.

    But the coloured ones have different attributes (e.g. red koopas don't walk off ledges while green koopas do), so there needs to be some way to differentiate them (e.g. different shades of grey).
