This just came to me... In Splat Zones the objective is to capture the zone for about a minute an a half. There is a total of 5 minutes for each match. I've always been the lazy type in this mode. So, I was thinking... (See comments)

    There is a 5 minute timer. There is a requirement your team holds on to the zone for 1.5 minutes Each count down correlates to 1 second What if instead of holding on to the zone for that entire minute and a half, you stall your oppents enough until their count down cannot become lower than yours, then just let them have it until the clock reaches 0?

    As an example, your team has 60 on the count down and your opponents still has 100. Let's assume there is only 30 seconds left. Instead of fighting for the zone, just let them have it. They will have only 70 on their timer when the match ends, so you still win.

    I think the only downside is that you lose the extra p you would get for winning by a larger margin.

    Hmm... Good point... I guess this could work as a sort of last resort... Though it will be very circumstantial doing this towards the end of a match...
