    I've had the game since launch and it NEVER gave me issues until recently. So it isn't my end, I'm sure.

    Try connecting to the Internet wirelessly with other games/other devices and see if you are having issues. I have no issues connecting, and my router is 13 years old...

    Wow really? No, I play Smash, Mario Kart, and CoD all the time and I rarely have connection issues. I don't have stellar internet so I occasionally get an error, but on Splatoon I get one at least 4 to 5 games in a row.

    It's not your connection, it's others. When you see lag happening, stand still until it blows over. You can survive!
