Earthbound Zero Theory: Teddy is Pippis Father. Spoilers because of the reveal of characters I guess. Thanks to James, cool dude and also a great Earthboundian check him out hes in my comments. Has proposed that Teddy and Pippis Stats are the same. At lvl 18 his stats are basically doubled. And this got me thinking, "Maybe in some way or another Teddy and Pippi are related!." So I believe.

  • Right, nothing wrong with a little thought experiment or whatever, especially not when it's Mother related. But, what I mean is that Pippi's mom could have been any age when she had her, and the father could have been any age too.

  • Very correct but we can confirm that Teddy is most likely not the father.

  • I was just out of sync and didn't mean to make it seem like I ignored your post about Pippi's age is all.

  • Ah its fine man. No feelings hurt.

  • I'm supportive of Teddy being around 18-21 because that's close to an adult's age at 18, and 21 is drinking age, and maybe that club that Teddy was at serves alcohol that he can drink, and there probably aren't a lot of gang leaders over that age. Also, Ninten and Ana are 13 and Lloyd is 12, if you were wondering.

  • Thanks James. So if this were true Teddy would have been around 11-14 probably in order to be Pippis father. So yea Pippi is not the son of Teddy... BUT I JUST BEAT THE GAME NO DEATHS AT ALL!!

  • Oh it was! Mt.Itoi was so stressful but I did it and I made it! Now all I got to do now is go get me my gutsy bat in Earthbound and beat that game 100%.

  • What? Gutsy bat? Why would ANYONE search for that? You get to use for like, one fight where you'll be guarding most of the time! The+128 guts are nice, but not worth it.

  • You see my friend I am a completionist and one big mother fan. I told myself I'm going to 100% this game and I'm sticking to it. I've grinded for four months to get three star pendants. I will get this gutsy bat no matter what!

  • Jeez, That's determanation! I I've heard of the broken antenna, the magic frying pan, the sword of kings, and the gutsy bat (I even got the first three), but not star pendants. What're those? what drop them?

  • Star pendants are pendants in the game that neutralize status ailments and I believe also lessen the damage of like elemental damage Major Psychic Pyschos drop them but instead of a 1/128 drop its usually a 1/256 drop because it's usually always accompanied by a party doubling the rareness of the drop

  • Oh, my goodness. Those odds are unreal. I must get them next playthrough!

  • Ya there pretty useful!! Gonna take a break from grinding and play some megaman x3 and mega man zero. You have to take grinding like this in small steps so you dont hate it.

  • My personal preference for grinding is mega grinding as much as I can all at once while listening to music or YouTube. You enjoy your break!

  • I do the same thing as well but for this bat can be a little stressful cause all enemie sprites are the same so it gets down on my hopes of finding this enemy so I step away and find a new game play it for a little bit then back to grinding!

    Yeahs1

  • Yeah, I get it. Some grinds are tougher or more tedious than others. Good luck! (Have I already said that?)

  • Nah you haven't) Ya they do man! But sometimes I get into the game so the break is a good and a bad thing.
