Sadly, I still don't think Mother 3 is coming to the eShop anytime soon... Since even Mother 1 (now Earthbound Beginnings) is using its original, previously unreleased translation, I doubt that NoA would go to the lengths of translating Mother 3 for the purpose of eShop Virtual Console. (Although I suppose a release as a normal eShop game could happen)
