    Couldn't tell ya. It made more sense in EarthBound. Giygas alone was nightmare fuel enough to bump up the rating.

    I have played it before, though. It would make sense if they used the uncensored version (BB gang leader had a knife in his battle sprite, gangster zombies were riddled with bloody bullet holes, the ghosts were bleeding from their arms, and the crows and BB gang members had cigarettes). Near as I can tell, this is the version that would have been released in the US and doesn't have those things.

    yeah thats right. i actually have Mother for my NES which is why i didnt buy it on the virtual console. i got it on ebay and its in english.

    though in the Mother game cartrige i have it doesnt show any blood or cigars probably because the one i have is the Earthbound Zero version of the game.
