Nintendo can you please take out the rule that disconnects you for 'targeting a single player.' I just got disconnected from a match for this and I wasn't even attacking anyone, I'm not even exaggerating.

It's such an asinine rule cuz people target me all the time and never get disconnected but yet I get banned from a room because I'm attacking air. lol

Have you tried reporting them? They have that rule, because if only one person is targeted, then it would be considered not fair, because you're basically bullying the poor person by only fighting him and not everyone else as intented. It's considered rude. Also, trying to play around will sometimes act as a disconnect. I had this problem (target 1P) in Brawl and I'm glad they fixed it here.

@VGFan 64 I did or sometimes I even block them but they never get taken out of the room, ever. I can understand why the rule is there but it's implemented so poorly that I often get banned from a room just because I combo'd someone too hard. I never target people, sometimes I'm just trying to make sure they don't come back to the stage. ...continued VVVV

^^^ from above This one time I even got disconnected just for using the Superspicy Curry item because it counts as hitting someone multiple times. If Nintendo is going to include this rule, they need to not include items that hit a single player multiple times. However, they should just improve on how the rules works. ... continued VVV

^^^ from above How about instead of the game just instantly banning people from the room during the match. When you report someone there just be an option for WHY you're reporting them in the first place, it'll only take seconds to select one. After that just leave the room and block them if they're bullying you. It should be something like that, hope you get what I mean. continued VVV

^^^ from above As for the "being taken out because you're playing around" thing, it's not that simple. You get taken out of a room for "idling" which means you're either spamming, not moving for 30 seconds, or walking up against a wall while doing nothing. It's all on the buttons you're pressing, it's easy to mess around every match and not get disconnected as long as you're smart about it. VVV

What the game counts as "idling" is a bit strange, avoiding it depends on the buttons you're pressing. It doesn't matter if you're walking around and not attacking anyone, the game doesn't know that you're not doing anything. It's only a program not a physical person watching it. It'll just think you're trying to hit people but are missing every time. continued VVV

Cuz if that wasn't the case then you can never miss your attacks. Also, if this WAS the reason the game removed me from the game then it would've said "you've been disconnected for idling" and not "you've been disconnected for targeting a single player." The game disconnected me for no reason is what happened here. lol I'm done now, hope you enjoyed my long and tedious essay. lol

@YukaKazami Oh jeez, yeah that happens almost every time I play in regular Smash. lol Surprisingly I see it happening a lot where only 2 guys in the room are fighting each other and me and someone else just mess around every match. The person who wants to fight should honestly just go to a different room if nobody else is interested. Where has common sense gone? lol

hmm this never happens. well atleast not in this sm4sh prison I call it since only me & other banned players can play together. (LOL) targeting one player always happens, but no one ever disconnects.
