    Maybe Splatoon just uses player to player connections like Smash Bros. does so your experience depends on how good everyone else's connections are. I don't know if the netcode is really like that but it would explain the inconsistencies.

    Its hard to explain but basicly everyones connections have been spotty today. Every match i was in at least 2 Players either on my team or the other team DCed. I only did about 4 matches today and turned it off. I might hop back on later tho
