    get close a personal to deal max damage, avoid off stage combat 'cuz Roy falls to fast, his "eruption" move is great to run short hop pivot with. short hop n-air and down throw up b.

    Neutral air after short hop is your best friend, it's quick, you can maneuver in the air with it, it's got decent range and the landing animation is fast so it's a good safe move for getting in.
