    you traverse dungeons, solving puzzles, to find several magical doodads all to save a princess and her kingdom. Just replace the hero with the plumber and the items with partners and bam! zelda

    Yes but is still not zelda. You might as well say Kingdom Heart's Zelda too. But it is a good comparison

    Kingdom Hearts is only similar to zelda in really basic plot (prophetic dream, legendary sword, save the world[s]) and the implication of a lock on feature. Paper mario feels like a Zelda game if it were done with Mario characters. Every time I turned it on it felt like zelda but with a different combat system.

    I've played the original paper mario and super paper mario. I've yet to play what everyone calls the best one and have no plans on playing what everyone calls the worst one.
