    The ink dissapears almost immediately after the battle is over. Its an official fact within the game.

    First of all, this game doesn't have many realistic aspects, such as shape-shifting squids, or a zapfish right on top of a tower. Second of all, if you've collected all of the sunken scrolls, one of them states that the ink vanishes after a battle is over. Even Marie makes a comment stating the ink vanishes when the squid sisters announce Walleye Warehouse.
