I REALLY hope NX-whatever it is-has a Gamepad.It had SO much untapped potential! Seriously,if the Gamepad just vanishes without being utilized more often or being used in awesome new ways,it'd be a TERRIBLE waste.

    It's like taking the touchscreen out of the DS, so many games REQUIRE it. Without a touchscreen interface, we wouldn't get stuff like Art Academy (and other drawing apps), Super Mario Maker, Pushmo, etc.

    I think that at the very least, the NX is going to have it for backwards compatibility with the Wii U, so at that point they might as well keep it anyway.

    I just think it's a shame how underutilized it is... I mean,imagine if there was just a few games on the Wii that really used motion controls,then they just stopped! So many games treat the Gamepad as a convenience instead of a big feature. Yeah,it's great to just glance down at a map,or switch items/weapons with a touch,but where's the innovation?! Where's the brand-new gameplay experiences?!

    Level editor games work really well with a touchscreen (Super Mario Maker, Pushmo, and Mario vs DK, etc.).

    Considering that Reggie Fils-Aime himself said he thought VR "Just wasn't fun right now",I HIGHLY doubt that's true.
