When I keep reading and watching The Fault in Our Stars,I learn so many things and actually pay attention to what they say. Hazel and Augustus (mostly Hazel) tells it how it is. They tell the reality of it and don't question it. That's why, this book/movie is amazing.

    Hazel is really just realstic kind of girl. Augustus is the kinda guy who takes the glass of life and drinks it, not even thinking if it's full or empty. I personally agree with Augustus's views of life, mixed in with Hazel. Augustus is deep and philisophical while Hazel is more practical and sensable.

    I really like your thoughts and I totally agree. Hazel is just look, thats how it works and Augustus is saying while thats how it works, there also is others scenarios and possibilties.

    Excuse me, let me rephrase because it didn't make sense. Hazel is basically only one answer to the problem. Augustus on the other hand, is like there might be one answer to the problem, but there are many ways to solve it. If you understand what I mean.

    Exactly. I really admire both of them. The reason being is because, they both look at life in certain ways: Hazel's point is life is straightforward and you get what you get. Augustus's point, that life has more meanings than one. It's really cool seeing and visualizing their outlook on life and what it means to them. In a sense, they both are right and have a valid point.

    Totally agree. But (not to be annoyingly hipster) I hate how people only like the book because it's 'a romance novel'. IT'S NOT JUST A ROMANCE NOVEL! IT'S A BOOK ABOUT SICK KIDS AND THE COMPLEXITY OF TEENAGE DYING!

    Yeah thats why I hate talking about books with some people, because they only scratch the surface and they don't see the other aspects of it. While I love the fact that it has romance in it, I really enjoy understanding and viewing their perspectives on things and what they go through.
