    Besides for skyward sword and Minish cap I don't see them living happily ever after at the end of most Zelda games, the link and Zelda being destined to love each other thing irritated me in this games story because of that.

    Well you can't say Zelda NEVER shows an interest. She straight up kissed him in Adventure of Link and the Linked Oracle games. It's also heavily implied in Skyward Sword and a line in A Link Between Worlds implies there may have been something between A Link to the Past Link and Zelda. As for this game, I dunno. They don't really develop Zelda's character much in it.

    Sidetrack note: Link and Zelda also ended up together in Spirit Tracks at the very end of the game.
