What is the hunter we use official name?

The hunter we use doesn't have one, never has. Only ever been refered to as “the hunter”. Not everything need an “official name”, helps with feeling ones hunter is ones self. That way its “Today I hunted a Zinogre.” and not “Today *insert an name” hunted a Zinogre.”. Makes it more of a personal thing.

Well I like that, but I wanted to put him in the survey thing for a new character in smash bros. I just wanted to know if they had a specific name.

Just put Hunter From Monster Hunter or Monster Hunter, Hunter or something along those lines. I believe he was in there already, could be wrong though.
