I have a feeling I know who you're talking about. His arguments were flawed in the first place. Lots of people love to go off about this topic, and whinge and moan and complain and talk negatives, generating as much negative stigma as they can. These people will eventually disappear; people who naysay about harmless-but-stigmatized topics usually do, even if it's slow at first.

That's the thing. He mentioned that very argument that we all had, and he said the only reason his point was flawed was because he didn't mention the one important factor that his argument apparently hinged on, and that was God. Not that it makes his argument any more valid, but I couldn't believe that he was putting me in that situation. With God! What on earth, Mostafa. =( Just…sigh.

In the end it didn't even feel like we were having a two-sided, let alone rational, argument. It was just him putting me to trial. He's a good Miiverse friend. It breaks my heart to hear my friends say something like that to my face (well, digital face, I guess). Can it get worse? Is it going to get worse??

God is their """trump""" card, lol. They talk a lot about God when they think that nobody at all ever should participate in any activity that defies their incredible gender apartheid. But they LOVE to ignore God when talking about other issues like murder and discrimination. You don't even see parents flipping out over violence the way you see them flipping out over these issues!

MIIVERSE DOESN'T EVEN CENSOR VIOLENT ANYTHING, BUT YOU CAN'T EVEN UTILIZE A CERTAIN WORD THAT STARTS WITH G HERE. That's how irrational it is! Nobody goes this far out of their way to prohibit violence or eating shrimp or pork or wallowing in the seven deadly sins! I believe in God, but I also believe that these people are using God as a bargaining chip. It doesn't matter what they think.

This isn't how religion is supposed to work. In any case, you should know better than to look at a plate of food, like a bag of chips or a box of sushi, for advice on marriage and love.
