okay so i been playing and i did all the things that needed to be done in town 1...so why haven't i got to the new town? He tells me lets go but when i get to the gate it wont let me go why is that what am i missing?

You need to talk to whoever has the prompt over their head and tell them you want to go to the next area, it has nothing to do with the gate.

Not a clue, it's been months since I was at that part of the game. It'll show you on the town map who it is, they'll have that yellow speech bubble thing over their head. And they'll be in the town somewhere.
