    If true and not just PR bologna, then I'm done supporting Nintendo. If they're just going to trash all over the few franchises I love from them anymore then there really is no point to continue supporting them.

    If Nintendo wants to 'evolve' a franchise, why not one that actually needs it, like Mario, Pokemon or Animal Crossing? Metroid was fine the way it was- leave it alone.

    I'm almost 100 percent sure is just a side thing and not replacing Metroid entirely. That wouldn't make any sense. To be honest, Reggie might not have enough power at Nintendo to choose what games they make since the vast amount of that is done in Japan.
