  first you want to write down the command CLS [clear screen] or you could write down ACLS [ANY CLEAR SCREEN] the write down bt=button [what that means is that the bt [you can change it to whatever word or letter you want] just means whenever i write down that word then the program will think its the command.

  then write down [if bt then print "hello"] that will make whatever button you press will make the program print hello. the buttons such as A,B,Y,X circle pad, r, l, and start. all are recorded to the program as numbers such as CIRCLE PAD/STICK THING [UP,1. DOWN, 2, RIGHT 4, LEFT 8,] [BUTTONS. A, 16. B, 24. [im sorry i forgot the rest but START is 1024.

  if you want to make your character [sprite] move RIGHT then write down IF BT AND 4 THEN SPSET 0,64,0,0,0,0 of course that will only show a character moving right. [when he isn't moving across the screen at all.. now on to what the code will look like and i will explain how

  what the code should look like 1. ACLS 2. @st 3. BUTTON() 4. wait 1 5. goto @st the @st means a checkpoint and when you say goto @st [the st can be anything] the button command will just allow you to look at the button numbers [its hard to explain] then you need the WAIT 1. and thats about it. these may be wrong just tell me and i will fix it. and i will come back to buttons another time
